Around the Year

If you really like Elsa Beskow’s books, you might not like this one, Around the Year, as much. I don’t like it. It’s not as good as the others. It’s all about poetry, but if you like poetry you will probably love it because it seems so poetic.

It’s poems about the months of the year and what some people do on the days. December is the best one because Christmas is in December. The poems are good quality. It’s the kind of book that you would want to read a little at a time even though it’s not very long. The pictures are good and really show what the months are.

Children ages six, seven, eight, and nine will probably like it most, but children ages ten and eleven will probably like it too.
