Landscapes of the Solar System
I find outer space really interesting and spooky at the same time, probably because it isn’t the same as here on earth. In Landscapes of the Solar System, there are so many pictures of the planets and other things in space that are really cool to see. The pictures look similar to the ones in the kid book Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs with the colors and style. There are some pictures that include a thin paper on top and underneath that changes the picture with and without them. The book talks about each of the planets and what is on them, like volcanoes, craters, and gas, along with our sun, some moons, and the things that are past our last planet, Neptune.
I thought the book was interesting, but I probably wouldn’t pick it up to read for fun. If I have something at school about space, then this book would work great. I didn’t agree with everything written in the book because of what I’ve been previously taught, mostly how old the earth is and how the earth was made, but I skimmed over these parts, and the rest was fine.
